The Parkwood Dental Associates team is more than just a team—we’re a family, and each time we see a new patient, our family grows. We continually work to provide the best clinical dental care for our patients while also promising excellence in how we handle patients’ records, billing, and administrative needs.

Dr. Todd Sander

Dr. Todd Sander is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the School of Dentistry at Temple University, and a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency with the US Army at Fort Jackson, SC. He completed three years of active duty with the US Army Dental Corps and served in Iraq for 11 months.

Dr. Sander completed more than 450 hours of postgraduate training at the Pankey Institute for Advance Dental Education and is one of only three dentists in the Charleston area to hold such a distinction. Founded in 1960, Pankey Institute is a nonprofit educational center that works to promote optimal dental care. Learn more about the Pankey Institute. In addition to the Pankey Institute, Dr. Sander is also affiliated with the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association , the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Our Dedicated Team

Nicci Dickens - Patient Care Coordinator
Nicci received her B.S. in Biology at The College of Charleston. Coming from a family of dentists, Nicci understands the needs of a busy dental practice. She has several years of experience in dental insurance and customer care, and she is happy to be our Patient Care Coordinator. Nicci enjoys spending time with her children and friends, participating all of the wonderful adventures that Charleston has to offer.

Susan Taulbee - Dental Assistant
Originally trained as a lab technician, Susan has been a dental assistant for over 25 years. She is passionate about advanced dentistry and truly enjoys helping others. Susan loves the outdoors and enjoying life to the fullest. She lives in McClellanville with her husband, Mike, and their three dogs.

Suzanne Chaffin - Dental Assistant

Kaitlyn - RDH
Kaitlyn has been practicing as a dental hygienist in the Charleston area since graduating in 2014 and is very grateful to be able to do what she loves in the city she grew up in. When Kaitlyn's not at the office, you can find her reading a good book on the beach, boating with friends, exploring all the delicious restaurants Charleston has to offer, and being an aunt to her five nieces and nephew

Angie Glover
Angie is a 1994 graduate of Trident Technical College, where she earned an associate’s degree in science and a certificate in Dental Assisting. She is certified in dental radiology and CPR. In her spare time, Angie loves boating, going to the beach, and traveling.

Amanda Ayers
Amanda received her undergraduate degree from Clemson University and her graduate degree in medical microbiology and immunology from the University of Georgia. Over the years, Amanda has gained valuable experience in business administration and customer care that has proved to be helpful in her in her role behind the scenes at Parkwood Dental. Amanda enjoys swimming, hiking, boating and spending time with her family.
